That is a nice rifle. Can’t believe how well the M1 still shoots after all these years.

New Year resolution is to clean/organize/tidy my work area. I just cant seem to get into it yet. I did however manage to take another old Breda Garand and refinish it. Now to hit it big on a lottery ticket and get me fifty or so barrels.

    Turned out pretty.

Receivers used to everywhere a few years back. I think SFRC has them, Firearms Outlet Canada, Durham Outdoors etc.
    https://durhamoutdoors.ca/BerettaBre...LY_p_1640.html

That's the gateway drug. Receivers are inexpensive, the rest can be pricey if you do not shop around, know some international arms parts dealers, grey market supplies or other. How deep a rabbit hole you willing to jump down? Sarco in the USA ships here, Brownells has the odd part, Stocks can be had as well. I have ordered from Mystic Precision out of BC for Boyd's stuff. Stocky's Stocks have nice stuff in the US but shipping here is a pig as they do not use USPS and couriers are bandits. I buy, trade from other folks wherever. Germany, France have had items that are excellent condition. Barrels are the one thing that slow me down. I prefer Criterion as they are the best for fit and finish. But... they are not always available due to ITAR crap. Ebay can be of use but they do everything in USD and our peso is near worthless. There is our marketplace, CGN has their EE but most of the sellers there are way out of line or are selling garbage.

Worse case scenario, you get a hold of me and I might have spares here.

Who am I kidding, hell, I have all kinds of stuff here.

Oh, and op-rods. Good op-rods are scarcer than unicorn farts. Nobody makes new ones, the supply is finite and many are in need of work. Columbus Machine in Ohio does a great job rebuilding tabs, replacing pistons and checking the proper bends. Vulcan Gun Restoration is also an option. Nik is down London way but can be quite busy at times.

Hope this is a bit of a start. I was only going for two back in the beginning, then I got red pilled and it's been a wild ride since then.

Is there anywhere you can buy a complete garand? Either rebuilt, surplus or one of the new custom ones?
