and another 10/22 on the way...all weather model with gray metal. Dumping the wood stock for a synthetic camo stock from Den's parts pile...
Mother Buffer, trigger job and the bolt release mod and that will be it...lol...yeah right...

Have two Rugers. A late 80's metal trigger group and an SR-22. If only I could have stopped at a trigger job and a bolt buffer!! These things can become an absolute money pit!
Have no experience with 597 but would love to try one.

I have an accurate 10/22...but I could have bought a CZ bolt rimfire and a Marlin model 60 for what it cost me....

Oh, that's my vote, BTW; Marlin 60 in SS/Laminate...mmmmmmm.

That 10/22 is a beauty Strewth.... I guess it's just me but I prefer bolt actions to any other.... semi's are nice plinkers and range guns but I just love the feel and carry of a nice bolt rifle.... and the accuracy is hard to beat....

I just sold my 10/22, as I wasn't using it and wasn't overly impressed with it, now I'm invited Rabbit hunting. I know the rifle I want....but it's not out yet...So, I'm thinking of getting a cheaper semi auto, anyone have experience with the Savage model 64? Or just grab a marlin?
