    Catch Photos!

Post up pics of your catches here!

I hit up a lake east of GP for a couple hours today and picked up my first 2 trout of the season. Both were 18 - 20" long and weighed around 4 pounds each, maybe more. Exact measurements and weights weren't taken as I'm primarily a catch and release fisherman. I'm a fly fishing die hard, so both were taken on a Knouff Lake Special, a favorite attractor fly pattern of mine from back in BC, using a clear full sink fly line.

I wandered down to the Wapiti River south of Grande Prairie this evening after work and spent about an hour chucking spinners and spoons. I managed to hook up with my first walleye ever!! Ugly critters they are...

This guy was about 2 pounds and 18 - 20" long.

I'd rather make a difference than a dollar.

Caught 10, kept 7, allowed 8. delish Between these two dates I caught a 8 pound lake trout and it was oily.

The lure I caught these on is 1/3 rd the size of them. I would have thrown the dark one back but it was bleeding too bad. It tasted great with a little cajun sprinkled on it. I like fresh rainbow trout.

Todays catch 3 guys fishing. First one for size comparison. Then both together. 6 3/4 lbs and almost 9 lbs.
