    It was a little hard to see in the last pic but the ejection port had been widened at some time in this guns history, and it was done very roughly. I reshaped it tonight and hand sanded it out to a uniform shape with nice rounded edges. Receiver gets primer tonight!

    Will try to get some pics tonight.

    Base coat applied to barrel and trigger housing - this will be the dark brown stripes in the camo pattern.

    Stock and fore-end striped and sanded. I was able to get out all the minor scrapes and dents.

    Base coat (the dark brown stripes) is complete and rifle is put back together sans trigger and bolt.

    Ready for masking off for stripes pattern and next coat of light desert sand brown.







    As you can see I decided to include an optic in the package. I had a cheap 4x Bariska that used to be on my Ruger and decided to guinea pig it for this project.

    Here is a pic I found online that is a good example of the look I will be going for:
