Put the final clear coat on tonight, internals tomorrow and she's ready to shoot.
I am pretty happy with the outcome - my only complaint is the masking tape I used did lift in some spots during painting causing a fade out on some of the strips (I wanted clean color breaks) not a big deal tho. And plus its my first paint project so now I know to use better tape next time!

I love the colors and pattern tho - very happy with that.
I will post a final pic when she's all done and reassembled complete.

Looks great! Ready for a grouse safari! I always like the matching scope, might as well go whole-hog if you're going to paint up a rifle.

This is an awesome rifle, been offered to trade up many times. Has been in the family from day one. The "Slamfire" action is extremely efficient, without question. Never have any casings hanging up in the receiver on this one. Reverse the weight on the recoil spring and try and see if it makes a difference. (Higher powered ammo with weight at front of spring, back of spring with lower powered ammo)
I love the tiger striping in the stock when held on the right angle, beautiful wood they used.

Too bad I cannot post a pic directly without hosting it on offsite
