With the short stroke gas system it'd be closer to an sks than an ak as well.

Liberty is not a thing for the great masses of men. It is the exclusive possession of a small and disreputable minority, like knowledge, courage and honor. It takes a special sort of man to understand and enjoy liberty and he is usually an outlaw in democratic societies. - H.L. Mencken

    Got mine today!

Fit and finish are far beyond what I imagined for a rifle in this price range. Well done Wolverine. Now I just need to sneak away and go blasting! The trigger is gritty and heavy, but not what I imagined based on what the drama club had to say about it. I will simply do the paracord method of smoothing it out, the heavy trigger is good as long as it breaks clean. This thing is insane bang for your buck. I'll do a range report in the next few days.

The gas block is touching if not a fraction of a mm away from the handguard as others were saying. Guess what, I don't particularly care, this is a 1G rifle.

Nah, it was at the gatshow and the target wasn't clean. 10 rounds through. Build quality is better than I would have expected. Also much more solid than the original 180B
