What’s the difference between a FLIR thermal imager (ie. FLIR HS324 vs. TS32) with a 30Hz refresh rate versus a 9Hz model?

Answer:

The FLIR BHS-X and FLIR BHS-XR bi-ocular handheld thermal imagers for Law Enforcement are available in 2 different refresh rates, 30Hz and 9Hz. What does the difference look like? The first video was shot on a 9hz camera, while the second footage is pulled from a 30hz unit.

Why do people buy 9Hz models cost when 30Hz models are available?
30hz technology cannot normally be sold to just anyone. It is US federal law that these military grade thermal cores not leave the United States, for risk that they might end up in the wrong hands. But 9hz units are uncontrolled, and can be freely sold to Europe and South America. As a result for most Canadians and other international customers 9hz is the only option available.

But, we're changing that . . .
