If growing the site is important enough to have a membership drive then maybe it should have a deliberate plan as well.
All the bumper stickers in the world won't get anyone to this site.
They don't point here.
How is the average gun owner supposed to make the leap from a GOC bumper sticker driving by and a website called gunownersofcanada.ca?
There is currently no GOC.ca, I Googled it, and typing it into the url bar took me to a youtube vid of Stephen Harper in Windsor N.S.
What if that domain was registered as well and used to redirect traffic here.
It would then be a simple matter of adding .ca behind the GOC in the logo.
Anyone with a hint of computer savvy would then be able to find the site with just one look.
Typing GOC.ca into your browser would get you here without any trouble.

Just a thought.

Goc.ca and goc.com have been regerstied since 2001.

What about .net or .org or .dot or .anything?

Anything would work as a redirect as long as it fit on the sticker so folks would know where to look.

Wouldn't need much for bandwidth because once folks got here they would bookmark this site...

ran into an option from another site, GBO (Greybeard Outdoors) that points to a blood services site so they use:
go2gbo.com

maybe go2goc.ca is a viable alternative as a redirect...
It's short and easy to remember...
and it's up for grabs...

People use google or the others nowadays, most don't type URL's to search.

If people just search Gun Owners of Canada we will come up, eventually when we get even more recognized by google and the other search engines it will become easier and easier to find us.

As of right now all we can do is advertise our URL and our name, hence the bumper stickers. Our actual name itself should make it easy to find us. Gun Owners of America is well known so hopefully gun owners out of curiosity will search and find us.

In the end all we have to do is sell our brand, if we do that people will find us.
