The Sabatti 600 is an Italian made bolt action rifle. The model Specter Arms sells is chambered in 7.62x39mm which is both inexpensive and plentiful to shoot. The 123gr M43 round has ballistics similar to the venerable 30-30 and is legal to hunt with using softpoint ammo.
The magazine sits flush with the receiver and can be loaded like a traditional rifle but is detachable which allows this gun to be instantly readied to deal with predators.
