    Keep getting double post warning

For the last day with the new format and changes, I keep getting an error message when I make a post that I can't make another post within X seconds.

It's like hitting "post" once is automatically double-tapping or something.

I'm using Google Chrome, and I haven't ever had this issue before today.
    I have no signature block.

Try clearing your browser cache, changes to php have been made, try that and report back,

Happened to me a couple days back. If I backed up and refreshed the page, my post would be there. Weird, but I chalked it up to all the technical gobbly gook going on this week.

Maybe they put it in to slow down the "full-auto" posters....

PHP is server-side and therefore not cached by a client-side browser. Anyway, I experienced the double-post thing today too (Safari 8 on a Mac) and the same "backed up and refreshed" thing Kennymo mentioned.

EDIT: and it just happened with this post. Clicked the post button and was warned of posting within 20 secs. Hit back and refresh and my post was here.
2nd EDIT: and for edits when I click Save I get the spinning wheel forever. Refreshing the page shows the edit.

I'm quite aware of the way php and browsers are handled, lol, What I said was I made changes to the php config and asked the user to clear cache to start fresh to see if it made any difference.

Here is the deal with the double posting and errors seen:

GOC is running vbulletin 4.2.0 - Outdated and not compliant with php 5.4

Now being as I transferred GOC to my server which runs 4 other forums and now host this site as well, I will not downgrade php on the server to 5.3 to work with GOC and vb 4.2.0 as it will have a huge impact on my other sites.

So once I receive the vb 4.2.2 files, I will upgrade this site to 4.2.2 and all will be well. Is what it is for now. Double post seems to happen most when using quick reply.

Cleared Cache and such, didn't solve the problem.

Also a problem with "saving" an edited post. It just keeps going around and around yet if you wait long enough and press refresh on the page the edit was completed.

Nothing to do but wait for the silly upgrade

We have upgraded to vb 4.2.2, so far, seems much better, lol, but please report any issues you run into.

I have to tweak the style a bit to get it back completely the way it was as some templates had to be reverted,

I'm now getting asked to re-log in every time I come back to the forum, even though for the past year my browser has recognized my auto-fill settings and populated it for me.

You have to remember to click on the 'remember me' tab at least once when you log in - i had the same problem but that resolved it.

I've done all that before, and I haven't had a problem with any of these things since I joined the forum. All of these things I'm reporting now are things that are new in the last week.

Yeah but all the settings reset a couple of times. Try it again and see if that clears it up. It just worked for me tonite.

Delete your cookies in browser, close browser, go to site, re-click remember me, re-save auto fill info, should be work then, let us know,
