Unfortunately, it was broke. And with the loss of support for the old system from the providers it was only a matter of time before it would’ve quit working altogether.

Ah I see, (although it seems like the new format isn't really working that great) FWIW-I don't like this new version at all.

Ok, downloaded various photo resizing apps, most just crop, ended with Photo Shop Express downsized to 1024x1024 pixels and still get the red FU error exclamation mark, does it on the upload attachments or the photo icon in the top bar. Is there some secret handshake and knock to be able to post an image now? Even the smilies are all blue squares with question marks, can’t even post an angry face. Just about at the end of my tether with the changes and lack of info on how to adapt……
