Forum Update: Migration from vBulletin to XenForo

After considerable frustration with the new version of vBulletin, we’ve made the decision to move the forum off the platform entirely.

At present, moderation, posting, and media functions are severely limited — and vBulletin support has been unable to resolve these issues, as many features have simply been removed or no longer function in v6.

To ensure a better experience for everyone, we’ll be migrating the forum to XenForo, the platform trusted by major communities such as AR15.com. XenForo offers greater stability, more features, and modern tools that align with what our previous v4 site provided (and more).

The new forum will feature both a light theme—similar to the classic layout and color scheme—and a dark theme, which users can toggle at will.

Migration work begins today, and we anticipate roughly 24 hours of downtime, followed by a few days of fine-tuning as we enable and test new features.

We appreciate your patience and support during this transition. The end result will be a faster, more reliable, and feature-rich community experience for all members.

      and God Speed.
Anyone who screams 'FREEDOM' but does not give it, especially freedom from something someone else has freedom of, they are the true traitors to all freedom: they don't want freedom, they want privilege, they want to abuse, they want to violate... and they want to do it with impunity.

The last 2 times I had experience with a full on system change up, you couldn't get Cat parts out of Finning for 6 months to save your life. The other one was the same thing when Johnston Equipment (Raymond) did their changeover. The guys were using rubber stamps to put the company name and info on the top of the parts pic clips. LOL. Here's hoping it goes smoother than that.

I've led some of the teams on major multi billion dollar conversions of total corporate software without the problems mentioned above. Someone just has to plan, test and test again and know what they are doing. Never behind schedule. Never over budget. I guess that's why I was able to retire early!
We inherited a Finning IT manager as a new IT manager at a financial institution. I fled the place. How could a farm equipment type manage sophisticated financial stuff?

          This should be fun!! not.
