    Turn off notification?

Is there a way to turn off the notifications for a thread? So that it doesn't show as unread? I am referring to the coin thread. I am not planning on trying to get one, and it always shows unread due to the activity on it.

I have looked for something to turn off notifications for that thread (permanent viewed option type thing), but cant find it, any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

      Not really.
I use the "What's New" button up top, and browse through what I want to read.
I just don't go in to threads I don't want to read.
When I'm done, I hit the "Mark Forums Read" button.

Sorry, its not actual notifications, its just the highlighted part of it. It shows that there is unread posts in there, which in turn highlights the giveaway/contests section all the time. Would be nice to have that thread show as always read so it doesn't come up for me, get al excited thinking there is a new contest or something! haha. Its nothing that is going to ruin my day if a person cant turn a thread off type thing, just would nice to be able to do so for that or any other thread that a person doesn't want to see pop up all the time as unread messages.

I am sadly not forum literate. So I only use my computer at this time, may try to use my phone for the rest of this week since I will be away from the house setting up hunting camp! This could be bad, so if I mess up and accidentally post some weird crap this week, please don't boot me, I probably had a stoke figuring out the forums on my phone hahaha.

You can collapse a section to not see any new posts in that section there is an arrow up on the right side of the grey header.

As for doing it for yourself to turn off one section or one post, No it's not possible.
