What has happened to the site?

I kind of thought there was something wrong when for a couple of days, the site wasn't responding at all. Was there some scuttlebutt about the site being hacked?

It is better, at least I can log on. But everytime I move from page to page, I have to re-log in. Frustrating.

Me too, it's been seen before.

The site wasn't hacked, but someone did put in a major effort to disrupt our service. More technically astute gunnys than myself have added some new security features. The site seems to load a little slower for me since...

Ok, yes the site is much slower. It seems to behave no matter what machine I'm on. My desk top PC at work, my macbook, or my iPad. Well, I'm just glad it's back. The extra layers of security are probably what's slowing things down. But there were a few days there where things weren't right.

No problems as to speed or browsing threads for me.
My only concern is; when I click on my link to GOC, I am automatically logged in.
I log out all the time, so I'm not sure if this is the new & improved way.
It saves me from entering my name & password though.

we had one day of a complete outage, and several days of extremely slow page loading due to DDos attacks.

We have a front end DDos Manager working on the site, now the performance isn't any slower for 99% of us, some might be affected if they are using proxy ips.

If not clear you cache, and try again

Actually, I'm down to the sponsor logos being slow to load at times, that's about it now. Just upgraded my phone today, that seems to have helped a hair as well.

I've had the text entry window not load in Firefox, and it was fixed by disabling Adblock on the site.

Only thing I've noticed.
