Hey is anyone else having problems accessing the forum with the Tapatalk app? Both my phone and tablet seem to not be able to access it and I receive a "network error try again later message".

Installed it a couple years ago, and it worked, but really wasn't impressed with the way it nagged/interfaced/took up bandwidth for itself? Can't remember now off the top of my head. Maybe all three. Guess it was a forgettable experience. All I know is, the default browser works just fine, and works the same for all sites that I visit. So what is the attraction with Tapatalk? Anyone care to enlighten me?”A man must judge for himself whether circumstances warrant obedience or resistance to the commands of the civil magistrate; We are all qualified, entitled, and morally obliged to evaluate the conduct of our rulers. ” (John Locke) -
When I used it I liked it.
Posting pictures right off your phone was the biggest bonus, but now GOC lets you do that anyway.
But I found it sucked up my mobile data at an alarming rate. More than double, I felt.
And they felt a need to keep changing it constantly, and usually the new system wouldn't work worth a crap. Why does the rest of the country get first dibbs on half my income?Comment

Tapatalk is largely junk, in my experience. When it works it's nice, but it so often doesn't. I still use it, but I keep my expectations low, and I'll never fork over a dollar for it."I don't have a firearms problem; they all work perfectly well." - Strike that. I do have a problem; the gov't has decided some are too dangerous to own.

Taptalk isn't a forum app, its a 3rd party software enabled for use.
Sorry but we have no control over how it works or the versions and updates it has

It's actually been down for a few days now for me. When I try to log in I just get a "login failed" message. I know GOC does not have any control over a third party app however, I was just asking to see if there was a recent change on GOC. I know some forums I belong to either block Tapatalk or have not allowed members to connect to their service.
@LB303 - the "attraction" to Tapatalk as apposed to using the browser is when you monitor several forums all at the same time. I can go to their app and see everything I am subscribed to or every "unread" post for all 14 forums I am active in. Having to log into each forum's browser separately can be a real PITA.Comment

Thanks for that explanation Grizz. I had no idea.”A man must judge for himself whether circumstances warrant obedience or resistance to the commands of the civil magistrate; We are all qualified, entitled, and morally obliged to evaluate the conduct of our rulers. ” (John Locke)Comment

Actually, you do. You can disable it and go with a mobile browser version for vBulletin. Others do it, you can to. Tapatalk is trash.Yes, you can fix stupid, but the stupid folks have passed laws against it. - FallisCowboyComment

Sorry for moving the thread around and closing other ones guys, just some people didn't have access to the off topics section so I figured I'd move this to the trouble shooting forum since everyone can access it from here.the wild still lingered in him and the wolf in him merely slept
