    I've done that too.
    When someone else quotes me when I've done that, they end up with videos that were just links.

                  If any and all HTML was allowed, it would allow injecting all sorts of mayhem into this site. That's why. There's client side code via javascript and sucking in "include" code from remote sites. Entire libraries of code could be injected into a web page, and it would be a mess to sort out. Malware, spam, phishing, ransomware, bitcoin mining, you name it, it would happen. That's at the worst end of the scale. At the least end of badness, the format and display of the forums would be disturbed or defaced.
