Guest access is still enabled for:

GOC Site Rules and Policy
Newbie FAQs
Dealer Network and all sub forums
Manufacturers

All other forums now require registration.

This isn’t 1999. These days, the bots that can do the most damage can also easily bypass registration and verification. Except maybe horsey po po bots made by CGI. Those are still 1999.

I'm starting to see more new members and infrequent members returning to the site now that it's had it's access tightened up - in my opinion that's a win for GOC.
