.... but sometimes I (and probably a few others) would just like to power rant, blow of some steam (pent up anger and frustration) or otherwise vent. Would it be possible or feasible to have a forum where one could do so without risking an infraction. One would have to ask for permission to join and be aware that there may be items NSFW or NSFPP (not suitable for polite people).

IIRC, there was talk about having something like that when we first brought the site online, and we decided against it. Perhaps it's something that could be revisited, but it's above my pay grade.

I find myself censoring many of my thoughts. The better half is afraid the black helicopters and dark blue vans are just waiting to pounce with extreme prejudice as my household rants can be rather inflammatory and might be construed as threatening. I often hear her say "you can't say that on the internet" only after I hit send or post. Yes, I do read them and more often than not I have to hit cancel.
