Welcome to the forum, just curious if you do the work on any of the stocks yourself?
As in, customer sends you his stock, and it comes back with the adapter? Probably be a decent demand for such service.

I personally do not do any machining. The shop which produces adapters for me ,cut the stocks for me and than I just applied the epoxy and finished the assembly(I have 20 + years in aircraft maintenance .
Any machining and assembly should be done by gunsmith.
Any work on stock CAN NOT be done by hand or hand held power tools.
If the demand is there I will check the rate for machining of the stocks.More stocks to be machined lower the charge(price ) will be.But as I said I strongly recommend (and my lawyer too)that work and assembly is done by gunsmith.

Pictures coming soon....
On the web page mandmini14.com go to "adapters" page and click on "installation instruction" -lots of pictures

Looks good and I don't see any reason why that couldn't be a DIY job, with standard tools - I would feel perfectly capable and comfortable doing that myself, although I understand that you must cover yourself legally.

Hi Ed
This was my DIY project and than I came up with this idea.
If you have at least mitre saw and drill press and a lots of experience it is not difficult to cut and drill the stock ,If you use the original stock.
If you buy used stock
it is not just about cutting and drilling the stock- the rifle has to be fitted in to the stock.Mag has to fit properly and trigger assembly has to fit in just right. It is safety issue, it is not "legall"issue. That is a job for an experienced person.

As lone wolf suggested,
I have checked -the cutting and drilling of the stock ,on CNC operated router, will be available.
I have to have mounting fixture made,so it is going to take some time(probably a week or so).
The charge ,I was promised, should be 20$ per stock done.
This way, I am pretty confident that if original rifle stock is used ,installation of adapter can be done right.

I was finally able to get real GI m14 stock. Here are few rough pictures .OMG it fits like a glove.

Nice. Now if you had a source for USGI fibreglass stocks to go with...

Hi Ben
that is good one
But in all seriousness that was the second thing I did after cutting norinco stock.I got GI fiberglass stock.
First it is more narrow than norinco or wood GI.

That would not be a problem -my machinist would just make adaapter more narrow, which is more perfect, becouse the adapter would be smaller and ligter.

When I cut the stock, I realized it is not solid like wood stocks. It did not have thick wall like norinco stocks. It is hollow with very thin" walls "and it is filled with some softer material. The stock material is very strong but brittle.I am afraid that after prolonged use these "walls "would crack so I gave up on the idea of using GI fiberglass stock.gi fiber wall pic 1.JPGgi fiber wall pic 2.JPG

Here is GI stock painted blackGi right full painted black m14.JPGGi full m14 left painted black.jpg

Here are few pictures of rifle and stock with folding adapter insatalled

Many people asked about slimmer profile of the adapter -so here is prototype.
