The ministries of silly walks is quite strict I believe Monty Python have covered this issue in depth. It's a funding issue

Exactly. You'd think with the limousine Liberals in power we could finally pry open the purse strings on such a desperately needed piece of Canadian culture, but noooooo. All of my letters seem to be getting ignored. No matter how many capital letters I use.
Even better! You would have to up your game!
No! Not better! Scary! My silly walk would quickly appear to replicate a hunched over furtive dodging from streetlight to streetlight.
I will chip in a toonie to help with any finances involved! Maybe a couple of them if it would ensure a clear, focused video for utube or facebook viewing!
Yeeaahhhhh, no.
Well okay, maybe. First let me sort through the hours of crap GoPro footage I have from 3gun and such this year. Did you know that if you record at 1080p at 60 frames per second you can amass a terabyte of footage PDQ.

Actually I've seen strewth walk. I'm not sure we'd need much funding.

Yeah, that's how I worked my way through college. People would pay me not to walk beside them. Because of the silliness, I'm sure.

Well that makes no sense - I love having you walk beside me. Makes me look normal and all.

Meh, never been one to get on my knees for anything, but here's some members that should get one in no particular order.

My 2cents, give it to the guys creating content, you want them to feel valued and it'll work as a customer loyalty program they'll make more content and it'll keep bumping up the forum which will get you more money.

I do not think this about "more money". The motley crew running this ship have shown that the members are the forum and the contests, giveaways and now these challenge coins are in my view a thanks for making this forum the best forum. Of the many I frequent, GOC stands above them all because of the diverse membership and a true Canadian politeness that comes with them. :canada::Beer time:(bacon)

Don't forget the bacon.

If I formulated bacon scented gun lube, you think that win me one of these Nobel prize looking coins?

Also, I'm glad I caught that auto correct before hitting reply. Pretty sure my iPhone is racist.

Is the bacon gun lube a typical gun oil? Or is it safe to ingest... I'm not asking for me of course but a friend....

Hmm don't know about creating a bacon scented/flavoured gun related product, how about if I just eat a lot of bacon - would that help?

Guess it's gonna be a looooooooong time before I'm eligible lol

I just want to say thank you.

I am honored to have made the list alongside so many worthy members of the firearms community.

...and Foxer :p

Well...........I have to say I am honored to be a recipient of the coin....It really does mean alot to me guys!! I still am unsure why in my own mind but we will digress on that issue as someone(jwirecom109) gave me their reason.

I thank GOC for everything they do for this community and hope that I can remain a part of this awesome group, community and hobby for many years to come!!

and here is to post number 10!! lolol

:cheers

I'm not certain I understand the idea of the coins. Could you define 'drawing' the coin better for me?

The challenge, which can be made at any time, begins with the challenger drawing his/her coin, and slapping or placing the coin on the table or bar. In noisy environments, continuously rapping the challenge coin on a surface may initiate the challenge. (Accidentally dropping a challenge coin is considered to be a deliberate challenge to all present.) Everyone being challenged must immediately produce the coin for their organization and anyone failing to do so must buy a round of drinks for the challenger and everyone else who has their challenge coin. However, should everyone challenged be able to produce their coin, the challenger must buy a round of drinks for the group.-wikipedia-

'drawing' means to produce the coin from your person.

Its popular in the military. Normally would get coined once you completed basic and in your unit. IE presenter would have a coin in his hand and give you a hand shake. Welcoming you to the group.

They can also be used as a thank you gift.

Awwww... I figured drawing involved an etch a sketch :(

I though it was a fast draw thing, like gunfighters from the wild west, but throwing the coins at each other like throwing stars. If they don't have razor sharp edges I'm losing interest.

Nothing a grinder couldn't fix.

PLEASE READ ***

It was suggested that coin holders should have a coin symbol in their user title.....something like our Canadian Forces members have with the Maple Leaf.

Thoughts ?

Why not? The goal of the coin is to show appreciation, and it's an easy way to show people who are less likely to be asshats to newcomers etc. And then we don't have to come over to this thread to check.

Special profile pic wouldn't be used too much and look like one poster on first scroll. And if it's a posters colour, some named might be getting out as a rainbow to cover all the colours they would qualify to have up there anyways

No Harbl yet?
It's gold coloured, shaped like money, has an elitist air to it, sign of helpful to community.

Would be kind of nice to have a visual reminder of other coin-carriers so you remember whom you can challenge :)
