Trust me, that presentation did nothing to nudge me towards the SFRC brand.

SFRC? You know what the problem with SFRC is? They only raffled off one humvee. They need to raffle off one every quarter!
I’ve bought from them in the past, had no issues with them owning goc. Now its looking like a cartoon merchandising place, logos and adds everywhere, not so sure I’ll order from them. Why is it when companies buy something it seems to inevitably become “slap a logo on all the things, change all the things” then wonder why people leave?

And their posting of their sales here too. I was doing it for awhile and then I seen a post elsewhere that said SFRC was not posting their sales on every site at the same time to try to gauge how much response they were getting from advertising on a site. It seemed like (and this is my opinion, not confirmed) SFRC was not posting here because they wanted to either a) give other sites first chance on things or b) see what rush to their site happened after posting the sale somewhere. I like SFRC but I never seen them post a sale here first, before other places...

I'm a big fan of SFRC and their regular sales and know Ryan, I used to drive to his old and new locations to pick up my orders and say hello. He has a good team of ladies working at his business too. I would not mind him owning this site in the least and only wish him and his business the best.
I dont mind him owning the site, its the plastered everywhere logos i have issue with. 4 just on the main page, two of which look like the sort of cheap dollar store shit you used to see on dialup, and the banner that used to be across the top reduced in size, jammed over to make room for them, covering part of the dashboard, giant blank spaces. It used to look like a half decent forum, now, to me it just looks like a cheap teens first attempt. If i wasnt a member already i sure wouldnt join up just based on the looks alone

Who cares how many ads SFRC has here. They pay for the ad space and that’s great for this site.

Well as someone who has been here almost from the start, watched and helped it grow, referred people here, made many friends here etc, to see the changes in the front page this thread is referring to obviously i care. And based on the list of thanked under that post, so do others. Maybe you should go read the thread from the start and then you would also know SFRC bought the site, they dont pay for ad space, and absolutely nowhere did i say they weren’t a great dealer, i said the choices they have made in regards to this page have made it look like shit.

I too have a sink hole. I run a pi-hole on the home network, but can still see the SFRC banners. I don't know how you have yours configured, but those simple images shouldn't be blocked by default. That said, some images don't show consistently, and I don't know why. Whatever the case, the new ownership resulting in a new web designer doesn't appear to have made an impact thus far. Not a positive one anyway.
