Log-in issue

I always leave my cell phone signed in to GOC (remember me).

When I go to my PC I log in and then out after I'm done.

The issue - lately I log in on my pc, it welcomes me by name, then redirects me to the log in page again.

What's up?

Try logging out of your account on the cell phone. Maybe you can't be logged in from two different devices.
 
Are you clicking remember me on the pc? Do it if you're not.
 
I keep having to log in repeatedly. Read a topic, try to quote or anything and i have to log in again. Phone or pc.

Never had to log out of one or the other before.

Didnt have to check off remember me either. i could try it I guess.
 
So it can't be just the two of us, can it?

Are there any admin people reading this who could look into it?

It's not a huge deal I guess, but it's a problem in that it limits me personally to enjoying this site on my mobile only. Reading and replying on my pc is un-doable.

There's a reason I suggested it.

It's part of the known server issues lately. I think things are being moved to a new server... jwire would know more about that.
 
Tried hitting the "remember me" button while logging in.

Seems to have solved the problem.

Thanks. It's something I didn't have to do before, but apparently is a known problem.

I seem to be 100%. Something must have got fixed. I did nothing but check remember me. I've done that many times before to no avail.
 
I've narrowed down the issue a bit further. Simply logging in with any stock browser and not hitting "remember me" logs in and keeps you logged in just fine. However with a privacy hardened browser, like a modded version of Firefox that's available or somebody who has done it manually unless you pick "remember me" you will get logged out almost immediately. Choosing "remember me" does seem to solve the issue, I would imagine the issue is that the type of log in cookie your browser receives are different between normal one and the "remember me" one and privacy hardened browsers reject the normal one.
 
Having same issue. logged in, read firearms news, general firearm , then kicked off when I clicked marketplace.
Logged in again, read legalities, then kicked off when I clicked on contest page

and had to log in again to submit this reply ..

been doing this for a week now.

not detrimental, but annoying.

Been having the same issue with getting logged out immediately lately. Been trying to sign in and post for weeks. Managed to stay logged in Long enough to see this. If this post goes through then your suggestion solved the problem. Thanks lone-wolf ;D
