If I could find buyers for my piston core 15 and , and an old PSA build I need to complete, I would replace them with NEA. Otherwise no more ARs for me.
Haha, I just ordered one. Eagerly looking forward to spending more money along with everyone else. :p

Waiting patiently, but news on this highly anticipated unicorn is making me shake!

So close to good times!!!!

Well, I'm calling it a night.

I'm sure Ryan at SFRC is doing his best and will let us know as soon as he knows something.

In the meantime, I recall a saying... there's an old saying in Tennessee — I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee — that says, fool me once, shame on — shame on you. Fool me — you can't get fooled again!

Here we go with another day of constantly hitting refresh on four open tabs. After all this, if the announcement comes out that it is restricted... You might see a grown man cry.

Does anyone have any advice on a good scope and mount for this platform? I'm still using iron sights on my AR-15 and my only scoped rifle is a bolt action .308. I was thinking maybe a Vortex Viper 4-12 or maybe something with a higher level of magnification. Trying to stay in the $500-$800 range. My main use is punching paper out to 300 yards. Thanks for any and all advice.

I use a burris msr 3-9x40 with the Burris pepr mount on my xcr and a nikon 1-6 with a burris pepr mount on one of my ar's the pepr mount seems to hold nicely at the right hight without breaking the bank!

They had their minds made up the minute they saw this gun.
They're stalling until they can get someone to back up their call.

I believe they are stalling for sure. but if it's anything close to the modern hunter design it should be no problem

It isn't close to the MH/MV design though which was designed specifically not to be a variant of the AR-15, it is an actual AR based off the original AR-102 design. NEA's rifle is based on an AR-10 variant that already has a NR status, despite there being few to none in Canada. Pretty much all modern AR-10's are actually scaled up AR-15's and that is why they are restricted.

So will ar-10 options fit this or ...?

Another day lost..another gig of data lost...
Gosh when will I learn! Lol

Hopefully it's not another type 81! But I do have faith NEA was told they'd have an answer this week we're all just so excited that we can't contain it lol

That they'd be getting an answer this week and they'd announce it on goc could be as early as Monday night is basically what they said

They basically said that the lab has finished the classification process and they (NEA) should know what it is soon and they should have an announcement on the GOC forums at the latest by the end of the week, and it would quite likely be (last) Monday night.

I think NEA should have waited at least until they knew for sure what the classification was before they started the hype train rolling again. I'm being cautiously optimistic that it will be NR but not really counting on it as a sure thing. Now there will be a lot of very disappointed people if the lab found a way to make it restricted.

Classified as restricted? The hopes and dreams of a relatively inexpensive, accurate, non restricted semi-auto dashed... However, the 8 Ball says that it will come out as non-restricted. I haven't been led astray yet.

I've got nothing but time. Nothing I can do to make this go any quicker anyway.
