New look

I'm finding it much harder to speed read posts. And as a result I'm not really reading a lot of posts.

I'm finding it harder to make & edit posts, particularly if I copy/paste from somewhere else -- with the frequent result being that I simply can't. Sometimes the edit workaround of replacing a post with ". ." and making a new post with the 'edit' works.

Searching is completely trashed.

I have no confidence I'll be able to share anything, or use GoC as a storehouse of facts for future reference, so I've dramatically reduced bothering.

The only thing that's better is that attachments stick (don't mysteriously disappear 2 minutes later).

Yeah, it does seem that we now have a much worse version than before and I have been messaged by some other members who are not using it either unless it gets better soon.

I sadly feel we may be witnessing the end days of GOC.

We used to get '?" for invalid characters.

Now we get the post truncated at the first invalid character -- which is worse. It's repairable if it's a cut/paste, but if you type in a half dozen new thoughts and copy-paste some french name to get the spelling right in the beginning, the witty portion of the thoughts are gone forever and only the dry summary remains in the repair.

I find it very strange that someone would spend the money to upgrade, but not follow through to get a properly working product.
Also weird that they'd hire experts in the field (Telos Alpha) to make things work (both before and after the upgrade) but they couldn't manage to ever figure it out. For years.
Is this some kind of money laundering scheme I don't understand?
