Question re:ignore list

Why is it that people on my ignore list, when quoted, aren't still ignored?

If I don't want to read someone's posts first hand, I surely don't want to read them second hand...

Is it because the person quoting them isn't on the list?

I assume the system treats the quote as belonging to the person who quoted it. I doubt that the software is smart enough to keep the post but blank out the quote within it.

Just think of it as a reminder why you have the quotee on ignore.

My list is real short and not for the reasons most folks use an ignore list.

Shoot I took Hairball off when he started making posts short enough that I could read them without going blind or dozing off

All two ppl on (were) my ignore list are banned now but I remember thinking this same thing at one time while scrolling through and then being like" what? That guys still around?" It's a pretty good tool
