SITE UPGRADE INBOUND

Brave gives 403 errors more often than Microsoft Edge.

Perhaps I should have been more clear.
Although Brave works fine with most every website in the world, including GunOwnersOfCanada for the past couple years;
for the past 20 hours for me, using Brave with GunOwnersOfCanada has been giving me 403 errors. My first 403 error I assumed the website was, as advertised, in read-only test mode with only moderators having the ability to post. Then there were lots of other people posting just fine, but I had trouble.
I switched to Microsoft Edge, and my 403 errors on GunOwnersOfCanada went away.

The last few quotes I tried didn't work, but this one did just fine in Microsoft Edge. I'm not sure if prior attempts were in Brave or not.

Maybe clear your cache!
 
I did clear cache with Brave, and it's worse: now (with Brave) the QUOTE button doesn't work, and if I type anything with a [ QUOTE ] tag init, I get a 403 error. zz0.2hipbzidrwuzz

Oh well, hope it comes back to normal for you later.
 
I couldn't post or reply to ANYTHING yesterday. This seems to work at the moment.

Is "new topics" new posts? Looks like it is. How to mark that they are read? I can live with format but not an improvement over old. IMHO

Now that I have my sig line set to on I can see mine and everyone else’s. Get the same 403 error when I try to quote
 
The new version doesn't seem to like carriage returns, particularly if 'pasted'. But continuous typing is more likely to work. And what's with the "zz0.tstyh5rjl1gzz" that keeps appearing?
 
Everyone wants an upgrade until the upgrade comes then everyone wants it to look like it did. LOL

We are moving forward.

Would it be possible to add different themes? A dark theme would be awesome with my eye floaters!

Keep getting the 403 error if content is more than 1 line.
 
search doesn't work very well. e.g. "laugh" used to bring up the "laugh loose" thread. "poilievre running" used to bring up that thread. Even advanced search 'title' doesn't help.

How do you get to the last post of a thread ? There used to be a LAST button.
