Was about to recommend you start using Let's Encrypt free and auto-renewing SSL certificates.

But apparently GoDaddy doesn't make it easy, they refuse to use the ACME protocol for automated certificate issuance and renewal, likely because they're making money from their own "added cost" SSL certs.

I host all my domains on Dreamhost which has seemless/automated LetsEncrypt SSL renewals for free.
