Please don't get me wrong, I'm all for discussing just about anything that affects us as gun owners. We need all the help we can get from people who understand strategy and how we can use our power effectively. That's why the "Action Headquarters" is so important. However, if I want to know about the latest threat from the green, purple or blue people I can get a punishing amount of that stuff from the news feeds. The same goes for economics and world politics.
My interests are mostly in the competition area and the equipment used to compete but I'll happily read anything that involves hunting even if guns aren't the focus as I was an archer long before I got involved in firearms. I read the precision shooting stuff even if it's dangerous in terms of more expense if I were to get hooked. I don't see that much interest in the competition games here but that's OK as I know where to go for that material. The same goes for my latest obsession with Tanfoglio pistols as I just bought two of them. I freely admit to being sub normal when it comes to bacon. But I really like the light hearted and fun exchanges on food.
The internet is remarkably fickle. Other venues are just a click away and often when people move if only for a day, they don't come back. So I don't want to be a wet blanket in any way shape or form. But GOC is young and I would hope it can remain relevant and vibrant for a long time. I've seen other forums deteriorate and eventually die because they lost focus on their principles. I just don't want to see that happen to us. We are called Gunowners Of Canada for a reason.
