I didn't mind the slowness and when the page rendered it is in text format but as long as the link works it's fine with me. Today I log in and was fast and pages rendered quickly and correctly. What changed between yesterday and today. And no I did not restart my phone.

I've been knocked Down with the flu so for the last 2 weeks no changes have been made.

Glad you're feeling better.
It's still no problem on mobile. Not using tapatalk, or Chrome. just the phone's built in browser. At the desktop it's still hit or miss, no matter the time of day. But installing that browser extension did help some....when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security. -Thomas Jefferson

It's still slow as all get out for me. I have tried on both Chrome and FireFox. I have cleared all my caches and cookies, rebooted, and everything else I can think of. It's so slow that I can play solitare between clicks of the mouse to go from page to page, or forum to forum. It's very maddening because this is my favourite gun forum and I used to be on here every night. It's so agonizingly slow right now that it's making me not come on because it takes about 2 hours to go through the forums...Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons; For you are crunchy. I made a post that was a formatting disaster.
Got fed up with the speed and turned my phone hotspot on as I've read of others in this thread having good results.
I don't know whats going on but the full editor appeared with all of the little icons and such.
WYSIWYG editor worked reasonably well. Site loading speed of course was average as others have said.
Hardline ISP is Teksavvy via DSL (Bell)
Cellular is Telus
I'll rock the hotspot as much as I can as it's pretty much only for this site but realistically, it can't last indefinitely.
Admin, I'm just tossing in feedback to help resolve this issue for all of us. Take your time and rest. There's some kind of respiratory crap floating around. I've picked it up as well so I feel your pain.
Fix the site when you're able to. Enjoy a "pleasant non-denominational winter solstice".

Things are no better here in Stratford either; Chrome loads faster (about 45 seconds to one minute per page), but I can not post; Explorer is in excess of one minute to load a page, 1-2 minutes for a post to post. I am only coming back to GOC about once per week presently, hoping that it get's better. Because of the time factor, this will be my only post today. All other websites, gun or otherwise, are working fine. This is only GOC.

Still having no issues. Shaw at home. Bell for cellular. Telus for work cellular. God knows what internet at camp. Explornet at the farm.
I’ve tried multiple devices, multiple services and I can never replicate the issues.
Is there a chance that this has something to do with user profiles? Has anyone tried signing out to see if the site runs faster for them?

I just tried it and it's still slow.
There's no need to log out. Just open an incognito tab and try it.
This has to be an ISP issue or something common to ISPs.
Most of the complaints are from Ontario.
When I switch to my cellular hotspot, the site speeds up and I have full editing functions.
Cellular IP geolocates to Toronto.
DSL locates to Windsor.
