Fix the damned punctuation

Thanks for putting up with my rants, guys.

I had a huge demo this morning to the brass at my latest client and I was super nervous about it.

There was a lot of punctuation testing as a part of the demo and I've been worried about it all week to the point I've been having panic attacks.

I nailed the demo and got praised from some senior managers and department heads, and now my team (especially my Devs) look like a bunch of super heroes.

That's not how the Cat rolls! A handful of chewies and that E-bike is going for a rip on the old Olympic bobsled track. A helmet cam should catch the bone-breaking moment of impact!

I never even thought of Cannabis Gummies. :)

I used to eat candy gummies, I currently eat fiber gummies, and I have a relative who eats vitamin gummies -- but I don't think I've shaken hands with anyone who has eaten Cannabis Gummies.

Wait until you're in your nineties...everything is a gummie. (And who said anything about cannabis? Maybe the Cat likes to let his inner HST out now and then for a walk on the wild side).

The only time I've ever hurt myself on my Ebike was when I forgot to wear my helmet, lol...

That leg wound took over 2 months to heal.

I probably should have gotten it stitched - but I don't trust doctors (I think I could see the bone).

After that fall, I literally will drive an hour to my range with my bike and won't get on if I don't have a helmet (I bought a spare and left it in my truck just for range days).

Do you still call it being roofied if all the parties are willing participants?

Rather than "skip to" in the message body?

As far as I know there's no way to do that here.
  • The video tag ignores the timepoint
  • The short url http://y2u.be/ also ignores the timepoint
What everyone seems to do is say "watch between mm:ss and mm:ss"

I figured that would be the case but every once in a while, there are no stupid questions.
 
Better bad punctuation than the toxicity of the other place.
 
That other place has so many people complaining to the mods and asking mods to ban people they do not agree with or like.

It is a very toxic and unhealthy forum to use. Some members have acted like the SS or Stasi and even called the cops on others there because they didn't like them.

I know at least 2 dozen people who have either been permanent banned for very minor and petty stuff or who refuse to use it anymore.

I made a very funny joke there once about the navy that everybody laughed at and a mod removed it and everyone else who replied to or linked it and gave me an infraction for it because he said he was in the navy or naval reserve and said he did not like the stereotype portrayed about the navy which he viewed as disrespectful or hateful.

When others asked what happened to my now gone funny joke post I said it triggered somebody very sensitive, very badly who removed it and then the mod PM'd me threatening to ban me for making that follow-up comment to other members asking.

They are a very special type there, especially some of the mods! They remind me a lot of Reddit mods.

Not all are bad although, two regular mods from Ottawa are cool and I have even been to their homes.

You just described what it was like 10 years ago. I still cruise the for sale ads once in a while...like, every 6 months or so. I don't bother reading forum posts.

I always though of this forum as kind of like the Breakfast Club. All the most interesting posters wound up here after being banned from there. I do miss Foxer though, wish he would still contribute. One hell of a shooter, that guy.

I see an employment opportunity ad elsewhere on the "webs" for the mothercorp...no idea if it's to come clean up the rogue punctuation here or maybe crush cardboard boxes at world headquarters. Surely to Christ someone has noticed the decomposing smell of Telos in the tech admin dungeon?

Let's see if things are any better today. I notice that the question marks are still there in every quoted article. But this new version is supposed to be fixable? Can we take up a collection to supply Cheezies to the Nerd Squad so they have the energy to fix... all this?
 
That's the only thing that's worked for me. Trying any sort of structure results in a 403 error. Haven't tried to post quotes. Not a computer guy but really don't understand why in this day and age these issues are occurring on a forum. Yeah I know it's a new set up but posting text,links,quotes are not a new thing in the world of forums. What's been done here that's so different from pretty much all the forums I've come across?
 
Still can't quote reply. I've been spending more time over at Rimfire Central because I've been banned from the other Canadian site for the past 8 years and can't be arsed to creat a new account with a smurfed email address, and Savage Shooters is shutting down at the end of August. But for Canadian Content... this is really the only place I have to go.
