Yes, there was a mess when the site got switched to another server.
    That bit has been fixed.

Now, the only people with problems seem to be the ones in southern Ontario.
The IT guys know about it and are casting their rune sticks to get an answer from the gods as to what the approach should be.
    Don't blame me, I didn't vote for that clown. Oct 20, '15

I'm in northern Ontario. And all the issues with slowness, inability to use various functions, formatting etc. remain for me as well.

Worked fine for me once you fixed the un secure. But last couple days. I've been getting slowness accessing the PM's and editing posts.

I am finally able to post. I too am in southern Ontario. I normally use Chrome, but have logged in today with Explorer (I don't like it). I am with Wightman, not Rogers or Bell. While Chrome loads much faster, I have not been able to post here for a couple of weeks; no PMs either.

I will check back with Chrome from time to time, but for now, at least, I'm back.

BTW, the "what's new" is still unformatted for me on Explorer.

This is a awesome site and would like to continue reading but not like this.
                Thanks
Completely agree with the bolded part. Also S Ont here with Rogers. Sticking with Firefox since it works the best for me, for all other sites.
Just installing Chrome the other day for something to try, I was alarmed at its built-in intrusiveness. I will never use it.
Took Boolets' advice and installed Ublock Origin. Using the simple settings I disabled java on this site and pages load a bit faster.
Not much, but a bit. Not to say all pages load x% faster...
Curiously I can reload the same pages and occasionally they will load fast, it's like playing the slots, but there is a definite difference.
The formatting is still missing on the Whats New search, and that's the only page so affected that I've seen.
Also reply with quote works for the first time in weeks. Quirky though. I have to hit the button twice or the browser just goes into a 'waiting for goc' state. Manage Attachments loads now, kind of; it's only available as a full size tab where it used to pop up as a frame within the edit function. Also it is formatted strangely. I can upload an image but the button to insert it is missing.

Well that was different. When I refreshed the first time, there was a placeholder "Attached Images" but no image.
Clicking on it caused the image to display. Now that was unexpected since the Insert button was missing from the Manage Attachments window.
                  Is this a new feature?
Hopefully my ramblings are providing some clues for the IT guys.

It's a feature of uBlock and Firefox. If firefox can't get the image, it displays a little square for the image. uBlock is blocking images over 50k in size, until you click on them.
[Old Internet Explorer used to have a "display image" pop up menu item, rarely used]

Slow for me as well. Southern Ontario (Toronto)

Also, I'm having an issue with the editor. The little editting buttons aren't showing.

I normally use the enhanced editor (WYSIWYG). I toggled to the standard editor in my settings to see if that would work. No dice.

Was there an upgrade to vBulletin?

Some strangeness tonight. Slower than a three legged turtle all night, and toolbars aren’t showing up or aren’t working correctly. Switched the Wifi off (Shaw) and everything is 100% and fast as ever with Rogers mobile.

                          * Switched back to Wifi and all is well. Maybe some sort of weird issue with my provider, but everything is top notch now.

That just is stating what the user is allowed to use for their post.
HTML is turned off for every user to enter into a post.
